Your tasks

  • Conduction and coordination of basic scientific experiments in the field of ocular GVHD
  • Planning of scientific strategies, writing research manuscripts and grant applications
  • Supervision and support of participating scientists and doctoral students
  • Cooperation with basic scientific research institutions and industrial partners in the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic measures

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed studies of biology, immunology or a comparable scientific/technical course of studies with doctorate in a direct field of hematopoetic stem cell/transplantation-biology/oncology
  • Advanced experience with animal experiments
  • Advanced experience in immunological technologies (bone marrow transplantation, adoptive cell transfers, flow-cytometry)
  • Profound experience with SPSS, FlowJo
  • FELASA-course (or equivalent)

Your future in detail

The respective translational project is part of the German Research Foundation funded Collaborative Research Consortium CRC1607: Towards immunomodulatory and anti(lymph)angiogenic therapies against age-related blinding eye disease and is led by Prof. Philipp Steven (Dpt. I of Internal Medicine and Dpt. of Ophthalmology) and Prof. Manolis Pasparakis (Institut of Genetics, CECAD Research Cluster).
